Political Theatre
This workshop introduces students to political theatre referencing Brecht, Boal and contemporary Australian political theatre makers. It focuses on writing and performance techniques.
Writing for Performance
This workshop guides students through the process of writing texts for performance. Students are encouraged to experiment with theme, issue, structure, character and dialogue.
Children of the Black Skirt/Hoods Residencies
Work with the writer and performer of Children of the Black Skirt and Hoods to develop a class production of the play. This residency may also include narrative building skills. Students are guided through the process of creating their own dramatic texts responding to the themes in Children of the Black Skirt and Hoods.
Transformation
A focus on techniques of transformation and characterization from either a writing or performance perspective. This workshop is illustrated with live performance excerpts from Hoods and Children of the Black Skirt.

Bright Sparks – Ideas, Creativity and Research
How do you get ideas? This workshops guides students through the creative process and includes exercises on how to stimulate ideas and go about researching a subject. Ideal for students of all creative disciplines.
