WAR CRIMES

War-Crimes-A4-smallWar Crimes, a commission with Sydney Opera House:Ed and Regional Arts Victoria has been selected for Playwriting Australia’s National Play Festival to be held in Brisbane in February next year.  Real TV will work with a team of actors over a two-week period to further develop the play followed by a public reading at the Judith Wright Centre.

Set in a forgotten coastal town, War Crimes tells a gripping story of six teenage girls who have fallen through the cracks, fighting to earn respect and leave their mark by whatever means possible.   Inspired by a spate of attacks on war memorials, this action packed new Australian play interrogates what it means to be a hero, a victim, a mate.
