About Real TV
Real TV is an artistic team that formed in late 2000. They have created new work for the Sydney Opera House and Regional Arts Victoria (Hoods, 2006), Queensland Theatre Company (The Orphanage Project, 2003), La Boite Theatre (Kingswood Kids, 2003), Queensland Arts Council (Children of the Black Skirt, 2003), Stage X Youth Festival (Suitcase, 2001. Real TV’s work has toured extensively to schools and theatres throughout Australia and to major national festivals and conferences including Come Out, Pacific Edge and Drama Victoria.
Hoods was the winner of the 2007 Australian Writer’s Guild Theatre for Young Audiences Award and the inaugural Richard Wherrett Award for Excellence in Playwriting.
Children of the Black Skirt won the 2005 Drama Victoria Award for Best Performance by a Theatre Company for Secondary Schools.
